DESCRIPTION
A pressure boosting system is a device that is used to increase low pressure in a water system in order for achieving sufficient water flow and pressure. A pressure boosting system consists of two parts i.e. an expansion tank and a pump.
The tank is lined with a bladder. Water is pulled into the expansion tank with the help of the pump, compressing the air inside the bladder, becoming highly pressurized itself. The water reaches the required pressure level once it leaves the tank.
A water pressure boosting system may consist of one or more pumps that are installed in a booster system for the purpose of increasing the pressure in a system to a certain point being independent of flow and inlet pressure.
A pressure boosting system can be used to boost the water pressure throughout the house. In a rainwater harvesting system, a pressure boosting system is used to pump out the water from the storage tank into the house.
