DESCRIPTION
This is a kind of filter that is highly used in Sewage Treatment Plants for separating out the liquid and the solids. This is also known as the Sludge filter or Sludge remover.
Sludge is a solidified mixture of water and solids which needs to be filtered or separated out to carry on an operation. Liquid gets collected as it flows through the screen and can be reused after that which saves a whole large amount of water and increase the productivity of the Sewage Treatment Plant.
It can be easily used in place of the belt press, centrifuge, or filter paper. A very simple device that follows very slow gravitational drainage and they are also used for material that is difficult to press or those which are highly packed together.
